Casey Comets Football Club is proud to introduce the new development plan for our elite junior players for season 2012.
The program is designed to harness the current talent and further develop and educate players for the future of Casey. This will be using developmental approaches based on the Dutch and Spanish programs to advance the current technical and tactical abilities of our elite players. The goal is to make training fun, to develop skilled, confident and creative players, as well as to teach good sportsmanship.

The Casey Elite Training Squad, also known as CETS, will form 4 training squads, the combined age groups will be:
The selection process will be trial-based and players will be selected during the player grading for season 2012.
Based on performance, players will receive a letter of offer to become part of the CETS program.
The program will run from 5th March – 14th September 2012 which equates to 28 weeks of training. Players will train twice a week with their squad, and once a week with the CETS program. To further develop as a young footballer, training once or even twice a week isn’t enough for the commitment that’s required to play at the elite level in football.
The cost of the program is $180.00, which includes the Elite training kit (shirt, shorts and socks).
The total cost works out to be $6.50 per session. Great value for an exceptional program.

Overseeing the (CETS) program will be Glen Bristow (Director of Coaching) who is an accredited AFC B license holder. Working alongside him will be the newly appointed Junior Director of Coaching.
Glen is widely experienced in the development of elite players at all levels. Glen has played at the highest level himself both in Australia (NSL) and overseas in Spain (La Liga) as well as holding VIS and AIS scholarships, and representing Australia in two world cups at youth international level (U17 and U20). Glen’s coaching experiences range from senior men and women’s level (WPL) through to elite juniors and Victorian Champions League.
Casey Comets are excited about the program and are eagerly awaiting the launch of this new venture for players at Casey.
